Church of the Resurrection
Welcome to the Anglican Church, Bucharest
Join us for the Eucharist, every Sunday at 10:00 AM.
All are welcome!
Heritage and identity
We are a diverse community of faith, rooted in history, engaged locally, and united in Christ.
Now a Bucharest landmark, our unique red-brick,
neo-gothic style church was built in 1913 for
the city’s long-established Anglican community.
Our Christian faith is at our core. We belong to
the Church of England’s Diocese in Europe and
are part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
We honor our history, which includes one of
Romania’s greatest personalities: Queen Marie
helped build the church and often worshipped here.
Part of the Parcul Gradina Icoanei neighborhood,
we seek to engage in our local community and
remember our place in God’s beautiful creation.

Our History
For over a hundred years, our red-brick church has welcomed people from all nations to worship, learn, and grow together. Founded with the support of Queen Marie of Romania, the Church of the Resurrection has remained open through times of change and challenge, a steadfast witness of faith and hospitality in Bucharest.
Today, we are a vibrant, international Anglican community — united in prayer, service, and friendship — continuing a tradition of openness and care at the heart of the city.
